To Whom It May Concern:

I have been interested in modeling and graphics design since I started playing computer games and seeing the graphics in modern movies. Since I was a kid I have always used my imagination to be creative and design things.  It never occurred to me to just sit around and watch television, although I did play my gaming consoles—and then my video and computer games as they were developed.  I found these games to be fascinating and I became interested in finding out what made them tick.  Now, as an adult, I am a college graduate of Westwood with a BS degree in Game Art and Design.  I attribute much of my inspiration to the father of Imagineering—Walt Disney.  I have spent much time as a kid, and as an adult kid, enjoying his cartoons, movies, theme parks and video games.  I see my career goal as providing a means for everyday folks to get away from their everyday work life into a fantasy world where they can relax and enjoy themselves—alone and with their friends and families.  A career in game art and design would inspire me and help me to inspire others.

I understand I would need to bring some progressive and quality talent to your world of Imagineering and entertainment.  Below is a brief summary of my qualifications for the job:

BS in Game Art and Design
Freelance artist and graphic designer for the past 13 years
Military Background (disciplined and structured)
I have the ability to work with others as a team
I have the ability to learn and want to learn from others
I want to grow with your corporation and attain new and wonderful horizons in the gaming world.
Most of all I do have a sense of humor and love to be around others who enjoys humor and life.

I  am energetic, tactful, self sufficient, and capable of analyzing and correcting situations without conflict.  I am a pleasant, down to earth man, with years of experience in the creative realm, with an open mind and a thriving imagination.   I am very pleased to place myself in consideration for this position you have open.  My education and experience, as described above and in my enclosed resume, have provided me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to learn and perform this kind of work.  I would be happy discuss this opportunity with you at you earliest convenience.   I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
